What can I do with the PS02SampleEditor?
Level A
(All you need is the PS02SampleEditor)
Change an existing sample set:

Change an existing sample set:
- change the order of instruments
- set parameters of instruments e.g. 'Pan'
- replace drum sounds of drum kits
- build your own drum kits (max 8 drum kits in one file)
(unlimited *.syn files can be stored in the PS02 and loaded via 'Utility/Load/PCM') - change the polyphony group
Level B
(you need different sound sets, 3 sets are available from the Zoom homepage 'Original', 'Rock', 'HipHop' others may follow from other users)
Build your own custom sound sets with sounds from other sound sets.
In addition to all features of level A you can do the following:
- Export sounds from one or more existing sets
- Import the sounds you like to build your own custom sets
Level C
(you need a wave editor - check the download section)
Build your own custom sound sets with sounds modified be yourself.
In addition to all features of level A/B you can do the following:
- Export sounds from one or more sets
- Modify the sounds with a wave editor
e.g. change the level, add more bass, add more treble, add reverb, add distortion, .... - Import the modified sounds to build your own custom sets
Level D
(you need a wave editor and samples - check the download section)
Build your own custom sound sets with new sound samples.
In addition to all features of level A-C you can do the following:
- Cut off a small portion of a drum loop, your favorite CD or any other sample
- Modify the sound with a wave editor
- Import the modified sounds to build your own custom sets
Level E
(you need a wave editor and samples - check the download section)
Build your own custom sound sets with sounds sampled be yourself.
In addition to all features of level A-D you can do the following:
- Record a real drum instrument
- Modify the sound with a wave editor
- Import the modified sounds to build your own custom sets
- You can even take a sample with the PS02's internal mic.
convert the sound (with the free cardmanager) to a wave file and import it as a new drum sample.
